When: Sat, 21 Jun 2025
Time: all day!
Make Music Day is an annual celebration of music-making that takes place in communities across the world on Saturday the 21st of June. And singers and musicians of the Isle of Man are invited to take part!
Make Music Day builds on a concept started in France in 1982 – a day dedicated to music, made or enjoyed by people of all musical abilities – and it has now spread to more than 125 countries.
Your event could be a live gig, trad music session or open mic night, busking, a pre-recorded video of a song or tune, a flashmob, a kids’ music workshop or community outreach performance! Whatever you decide, the ‘rules’ of Make Music Day are very simple:
1. Events and activities must be free to take part in and watch
2. Events must take place or premier on 21st June
3. Events must involve music
If you would like to get involved in celebrating Laa Jannoo Kiaull / Make Music Day here in the Isle of Man, you can submit your event to https://makemusicday.co.uk/, use the hashtag #makemusicday and #MakeMusicDayUK on your social media, and share your music with the world!
