Arrane son Mannin ~ Song for Mannin Workshop
Saturday 21st October, Culture Vannin, Main Road, St Johns from 2-4pm. FREE.
Who’s invited?
• Local singer-songwriters who have no or little Manx Gaelic;
• Manx speakers who fancy having a go at writing lyrics;
• Singers who'd like to perform, but don't have the confidence to write a song;
• Musicians who have a melody or song they’ve already written but would like advice on taking the next step;
• Singer-songwriters who want to take part, but need a band;
• Instrumentalists who’d like to get involved and work with a Manx Gaelic singer!
Practical workshop to assist singers, musicians and Manx speakers who fancy having a go at writing a new song in Manx and entering the 'Arrane son Mannin' competition which will be held in early January 2018. Your song could win £300 and a trip to Letterkenny to represent the Island at the Pan-Celtic Song Contest next Easter!
