Need to brush up on your Jinny the Witch song, find out how to sing Hop tu naa in Manx Gaelic or learn the dance steps!?
This online Hop tu naa resource produced by Culture Vannin with the Department of Education and Children celebrates the ancient Manx custom of Hop-tu-naa on 31st October, and presents the history, songs, music, dance, puzzles and recipes in a format suitable for primary schools. The accompanying audio files provide a demonstration of the songs, music to accompany the processional dance and an account of the infamous Jinnie the Witch story as told by a local historian.
