Manx musician Beccy Hurst is continuing to spread the word for us in the UK. Beccy is currently based in Newcastle where she gained her degree in traditional music, but she has recently been visiting performer at the Folk Fortnight at Elmfield Rudolf Steiner School in Stourbridge. As well as teaching one to one lessons on whistle and anglo concertina, Beccy taught a lot of Manx music and Dance to the students and told them all about the Isle of Man and its history, culture, mythology, music, dance and song. The school is going to continue performing the dances and music. Good work Beccy – gura mie mooar ayd!
