Autoharp Workshop to be held at the Sailors' Shelter, East Quay, Peel on Saturday, 5th September (10.30am-4.30pm).
Tutors to include: Leila Kneale (Playing along with other instruments)
Ian Radcliffe (Manx music and how it is different from other genres - with examples of tunes to play)
Beastie Dovey (Differences in playing by yourself at home and playing at performances).
Open stage for those who choose to perform.
Playing and singing together from the Manx Autoharpers Songbook.
There will be an introduction and warm-up session with a few simple tunes, so that beginners can join in, at the start of the workshop, plus the opportunity for absolute beginners to borrow an instrument for the day and learn the basics to get them started.
