Around 60 adult and Bree musicians attended a weekend of workshops by Anna Massie and Mairearad Green organised by Breesha Maddrell for the Manx Heritage Foundation. Sessions taught covered accordion, fiddle, pipes, guitar, mandolin and general ceilidh tunes. There was just as much focus on technique as tunes, which was very welcome. The weekend concluded with a fabulous gig at the Philip Christian Centre in Peel, with new Manx band, Sannish, in support. Anna and Mairearad had chance to hear Manx tunes from Bree musicians and at the White House session and were given gifts of tune books to take back with them. The pair were interviewed by John Kaneen and Catherine Nicoll for Manx Radio.
